Summary

We are looking for a skilled and energetic Factory Manager to manage the daily operations of our manufacturing plant. The ideal applicant will be responsible for ensuring production efficiency, maintaining high quality standards and implementing continuous improvement projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a focused team, streamline procedures and achieve operational excellence in a rapidly moving industry. The Factory Manager will be responsible for cross-departmental collaboration, resource management and compliance with safety and quality legislation.

Duties

• Manage and supervise all aspects of manufacturing operations including production, quality control, maintenance and logistics.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve manufacturing operations using process improvement techniques.
• Supervise supply chain operations to ensure on-time procurement of materials and shipment of finished goods.
• Led continuous improvement programs to boost production, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are met throughout the facility.
• Oversee budgets, resource allocation, and manpower requirements to accomplish operational objectives.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on mechanical problems and process optimisation projects.
• Track key performance metrics (KPIs) for production output, quality metrics, and operational costs.
• Develop a culture of teamwork, accountability, and creativity in the factory.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as manufacturing manager or similar role in a factory setting.
• Must be able to work in a fast pace enviroment.
• Mechanical Knowledge and grasp of assembly procedures and equipment maintenance.
• Extensive experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma).
• Knowledge of quality control standards and continuous improvement strategies.
• Highly organised with a capacity to manage various priorities well.
• Exemplary leadership qualities with great communication skills to motivate teams and liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
• Relevant qualifications in engineering, manufacturing management or a similar subject would be advantageous but are not needed.

Working Hours

• Note we start at 5am each morning and work till about 1pm, although hours vary day to day.
