Job Summary
To maintain and develop systems and applications within the Blood Sciences Laboratories under the guidance of the Biochemistry Laboratory Manager and Senior Analyst/Programmer.
Members of the LIMS IT Support team provide user and system support, covering the diagnostic laboratories of OUH. Liaising further afield with colleagues across the South 4 Pathology Partnership. The post holder will play a supporting role within the structure to ensure service continuity and development.
The post-holders will be self-motivated team players with a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and a methodical approach to tasks. As members of the team, they will demonstrate a high level of technical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
Main duties of the job
As part of the team, provide day-to-day support of the Winpath enterprise (WPE) laboratory system. As part of the on-call system endure lab operational capability 24/7 across multiple departments.
Work closely with the EPR team to manage changes in WPE and EPR.
Assist with statistical analysis, data collection, and audit support.

Essential
- Degree in computer science or equivalent.
Experience and Knowledge
Essential
- Knowledge of SQL & Messaging
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Desirable
- Experience of Lab and Hospital EPR systems
- Experience with GP electronic ordering systems
