About this Position

We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of our busy Pizza Hut store in Kallangur, Queensland.

This is a very active leadership position that drives operational excellence in all aspects of the restaurant and achieves key performance goals including:

• Improving operational efficiency and speed of service
• Cutting down on order preparation and delivery times
• Improving local sales effectiveness
• Enhancing Voice of Customer (VOC) Scores
• Ensuring high levels of food safety and compliance
• Lead and develop a high-performing team

You will be a key player in creating the success of the business by balancing operational performance, developing your team, customer satisfaction and financial results in a fast-paced QSR environment.

Principal Responsibilities of Restaurant Operations

• Manage day-to-day operations of a busy Pizza Hut restaurant.
• Lead and manage a diversified team of roughly 14 individuals including:
  • 5 Shift-Runners
  • 2 Pizza Chefs
  • 7 Delivery Drivers
• Exercise independent judgement in the resolution of operational difficulties and staffing requirements.
• Track restaurant production (“Make Times”) and delivery performance to continuously meet speed goals.
• Actively respond to customer feedback and influence improvement on Voice of Customer (VOC) results through service improvements.
• Ensure all operating procedures are in compliance with Pizza Hut brand standards.
• Manage stock controls, stock ordering, stock rotation and waste minimisation.
• Ensure quality of product, cleanliness and consistency of operation for each shift.

Leadership & Managing People

• Hire, interview, onboard and train new team members.
• Coach, guide and support Shift Runners to achieve operational KPIs.
• Build a positive culture of inclusion and performance.
• Create and monitor work schedules.
• Provide regular performance reviews and continuing coaching.
• Foster teamwork, responsibility and employee engagement.

Finance Management

• Monitor daily, weekly and monthly sales results.
• Spot business trends and find ways to increase local sales.
• Control labour budgets and operating costs.
• Prepare operational reports for the Director.

Food Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all Pizza Hut operating standards.
• Follow Australian food safety legislation.
• Maintain accurate compliance records.
• Provide a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months leadership experience in Retail, Restaurant or QSR Management.
• Proven leadership abilities.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• Strong decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer literacy including POS systems, Microsoft Office and inventory systems.

Essential Requirement

• Current Food Safety Supervisor Certification.
