Lead Equipment Engineer – Shift-Based Role (Days and Nights) – Oldham – Greater Manchester

Bluegate are looking for a hands-on Lead Equipment Engineer to drive performance in a wafer fabrication facility and keep our critical tools running at peak efficiency.

The Role

You’ll be the go-to leader on shift—balancing technical expertise with people management to deliver uptime, quality, and results.

– Lead and motivate Engineers, Technicians, and TPMs

– Maximise equipment availability and productivity

– Own maintenance, fault-finding, and improvement activities

– Work closely with Production, Process, and Vendors

What You’ll Bring

– HNC+ in Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering (or equivalent experience)

– Strong electronic engineering knowledge

– Wafer fab equipment and process experience

– Proven leadership and organisational skills
