THE JOB: IT Desktop Analyst
The IT Desktop Analyst will give students and staff at the University quick and professional technical help for a wide range of IT and digital media services. You will diagnose and fix technological problems according to service level agreements. You will also help staff with their devices and computer labs, troubleshoot questions about software, hardware, printers, and infrastructure, and provide AV and event assistance when needed. The job also includes setting up and keeping up IT equipment, such as specialised hardware and software used in schools and research labs.
The person who gets the job should have the following:
- HND level or the same, or have both relevant and useful job experience.
- Focused on customer service.
- A basic understanding of IT and AV technologies used in a classroom setting.
- Good at using Windows, M365 apps, and Mac OS.
- Experience helping consumers over the phone, by email, and through instant messaging.
- Previous experience with incident management systems and fixing tickets.
- An understanding of the laws that govern IT. They will know about and follow the Health and Safety policy to make sure that equipment is delivered and kept in good condition.
- Proof of ongoing professional growth.
