Essential

• Degree or equivalent in a numerical subject, and evidence of continuing professional development
• At least 2 years’ experience in information analysis and interpretation
• Experience of working in a complex and demanding environment
• Strong statistical and analytical knowledge, with the ability to interpret and present conclusions, both written and verbal, to a wide range of customers
• Experienced in working with and managing complex data sets
• Knowledge of SQL Server programming and administration tasks relevant to data processing and transformation
• Good knowledge of advanced features of Microsoft Excel 2010, including writing complex formulae, pivot tables and lookups, to manipulate and present data
• Highly skilled in the interpretation and presentation of data, with the ability to adapt style to suit the target audience

Desirable

• Specialist knowledge and experience of information management and business intelligence in an NHS information analyst role
• Experience relevant to working in an acute Trust
• Experience of mentoring staff, including those who are not data literate
• An expert knowledge of NHS reporting, structures, content, and data standards
• Previous experience with Power BI
