Introduction

We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing specialist support to children and young people and supporting them to develop and flourish. Responsibilities

• Offer one-to-one coaching and guidance to meet individual needs
• Help children and young people with everyday tasks, making sure they are safe and comfortable
• Promote behaviour development through positive reward and encouragement
• Conduct fun educational activities, including life lessons and basic skills.
• Work in partnership with families, carers and other professionals to ensure consistent support.
• Monitor progress and keep accurate records of each person’s development
• Encourage social inclusion by participating in community activities
• Follow safeguarding policies and keep everyone safe at all times

About Qualifications

• Experience of dealing with children or young people or interest in this area is desirable
• Experience of mentoring, teaching or supporting behavioural development is desirable
• Empathetic, patient and able to create rapport with a wide variety of people
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to be flexible, exhibiting adaptation in a variety of settings
• Relevant childcare, education or social care qualifications or training are an advantage but not essential
