Description

• Manage and strengthen internal financial controls across P2P, O2C, payroll and expenses.

• Conduct monthly operational reviews and provide final reviews of management accounts, revenue recognition and accounts payable runs.

• Review monthly payroll before final approval by the Head of Finance.

• Manage internally developed cost calculations and ensure audit compliance.

• Oversee cash flow forecasting, treasury operations and bank payment approvals.

• Provide expert guidance on complex revenue recognition, accounts payable and cost management issues.

• Manage banking queries, vendor relationships and finance software ownership.

• Develop the finance function’s AI usage policy and automate workflows using AI.

• Build scalable financial controls and processes to support business growth.

• Ensure effective monthly closing, cash management, audit controls, capital expenditure and financial automation.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with UK experience (ACCA, ACA or CIMA).

• Minimum of 5 years’ finance experience, including 2 years in industry.

• Experience managing financial controls and processes in a fast-growing business, preferably SaaS or technology.

• Ability to independently manage cash flow and approve bank payments.

• Strong judgement and decision-making skills in accruals, revenue recognition and financial risk.

• Proficiency with finance tools such as Xero, ApprovalMax, Maxio or equivalent platforms.

• Demonstrable AI skills for improving finance workflows and operational efficiency.
