Description

• Provide high-quality, personalised care to clients in their own homes.

• Support elderly individuals and clients living with dementia or other cognitive impairments.

• Promote clients’ safety, comfort, dignity and independence.

• Work in a caring and professional environment with flexible shift arrangements.

• Work location: In person.

• Salary: £25,420–£37,420 per year.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing and mobility.

• Support medication administration and monitor clients’ health as required.

• Prepare meals according to clients’ nutritional needs.

• Provide companionship and support clients with dementia and other cognitive conditions.

• Drive clients safely to medical appointments, social activities and errands.

• Perform light household duties, including laundry and cleaning.

• Respond promptly to clients’ needs and ensure their safety and wellbeing.

• Maintain accurate care records and report changes in clients’ conditions to supervisors.

Requirements

• Previous experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes or hospice care is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s support and behavioural management.

• Valid driving licence and a clean driving record.

• Safe driving skills and confidence transporting clients.

• First aid certification or training is preferred.

• Ability to assist clients with mobility and perform lifting when necessary.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Compassionate, patient and committed to supporting vulnerable individuals.

• Flexibility to work different shifts.

• Reliability, punctuality and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families.
