  • Contract: Full-time, 10 programmed activities (10 PA).
  • The role focuses on delivering a timely, high-quality acute and trauma imaging service.
  • The acute and trauma imaging service operates approximately 8:00 am–7:00 pm.
  • The successful candidate will join the Trust’s wider Radiology Care Group, which includes General, Neuro, Breast and Dental Radiology services.
  • There is an opportunity to develop a subspecialty interest that aligns with departmental needs.
  • The advertised salary is approximately £113,565–£150,569 per year.

Requirements

  • Medical qualification that is registerable in the UK.
  • FRCR or equivalent qualification.
  • Must be within 6 months of obtaining CCT (or equivalent) at the time of interview, or already hold an equivalent qualification.
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
  • Must be on the GMC Specialist Register by the time of appointment.
  • Broad experience across radiology, with UK training culminating in CCT or completion of the appropriate portfolio pathway.
  • Experience in acute CT imaging is essential.
  • Experience in acute trauma imaging is desirable.
  • Additional radiology subspecialty experience is advantageous.
  • Experience organising radiology services in a busy teaching hospital.
  • Good general computer and IT skills.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Leadership experience within multidisciplinary teams is desirable.
  • Understanding of medical audit and quality improvement.
  • Experience supporting clinical research.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate learners, including examination preparation.
  • Current UK professional registration is required.
