Job description is pending Royal College approval

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to make a substantive whole-time appointment to this newly established post with Bury Mental Health Services. This post will cover a sector of the Bury area. The post has been created due to the current consultant moving to another job in the trust.

The Bury general adult psychiatry service (generally for people aged 16 to 64) has been run since 2008 according to a model whereby our team of consultants is deployed as follows: Three consultants work exclusively in the community and outpatient focus areas, one working with the Early Intervention Service, and two in the inpatient area, including Home Treatment and two A&E Liaison Teams. Also, one consultant works in Living Well.

Within this arrangement, the consultant appointed to this post will work with other sector consultants (East, West and South sector community outpatients).

This is a newly created post. This is an exciting time to join the Trust, and there are many opportunities to contribute to the organisation’s innovation and for personal development.
