Description

• Complete remote competency assessment meetings across the adviser population using in-house technology
• Identify development areas and progress them through appropriate action plans
• Work cross-functionally and draw information from all areas of the business
• Explain and enforce the oversight contract with Appointed Representatives and Registered Individuals
• Educate Appointed Representatives and Registered Individuals on compliance requirements, Treating Customers Fairly responsibilities and Good Customer Outcomes
• Deliver the risk assessment regime and assess skills, competencies and knowledge required to maintain competence
• Conduct Adviser Reviews, complete reports, provide coaching and feedback, identify risks, and escalate failings to the Firm Compliance Partner
• Provide regular feedback to senior management on issues identified within the Quilter group
• Conduct customer care calls to substantiate findings or support competency sign-off
• Manage identified issues to conclusion through enhanced monitoring, event action plans, and governance action plans

Requirements

• Level 4 Diploma qualified as a minimum
• Proven experience working within the financial services sector
• Experience in a T&C supervisory function ideally, but not essential
• Self-starter, motivated and inquisitive
• Ability to work independently and use own initiative
• Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office
• Ability to follow compliance rules and enforce standards
• Strong communication and questioning skills
• Sound judgment when assessing risks and developing action plans
• Experience of Network/National and IFA/restricted advice models desirable but not essential
• SMCR certified role: CASS Oversight, Functions requiring qualifications & Manager of Certification employees
