Description

• Support the Catering Management Team in delivering efficient and effective catering services at Ysbyty Gwynedd.

• Help lead and coordinate chefs and cooks to provide high-quality meals for patients, staff, and visitors.

• Work operational shifts as part of the Food Production Team.

• Ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety standards.

• Support service improvements and contribute to the development of catering operations.

• Assist with or lead specific catering projects and tasks.

• Promote teamwork and maintain high standards of food preparation and service.

Requirements

• Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Professional Cookery.

• Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Food Production, with good practical knowledge and skills.

• Experience working in a catering department.

• Flexibility to work operational shifts.

• Strong knowledge of food safety and health and safety practices.

• Passion for cooking and ability to work effectively within a team.

• Desirable: Level 4 qualification in Managing Food Safely.

• Desirable: Experience managing or supervising staff.

• Desirable: Experience running a busy kitchen.

• Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential; English and Welsh speakers are welcome.

• Must undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
