Due to our ongoing success and the continued demand for our services, we are expanding our team and looking for a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) to join us.

Main duties of the job
You’ll already be a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, experienced in delivering quality clinical sessions to clients and keeping up to date with advances in psychological therapies. Our PWPs work within the stepped care model, in accordance with NICE guidelines and approved clinical interventions.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
- Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner qualification OR
- Experienced and Qualified Graduate Mental Health Worker with relevant experiences and competencies as required
Desirable
- A qualification in the provision of supervision, training in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, counselling or within a psychological therapy
- Psychology or other health-related undergraduate degree
Experience
Essential
- Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge of mental health practice from previous experience
Desirable
- Evidence of working in the local community

Essential
- Effective analytical and decision -making skills
- Care planning skills
Knowledge
Essential
- Models of risk assessment and management.
- Mental health/mental illness.
Desirable
- Awareness of serious mental health presentations (psychosis, bipolar).
- Medication and the monitoring of its effects.

- An understanding of the context of IAPT stepped care.
- Car driver or ability to travel independently, and willingness to travel to locations throughout the organisation.

- Fluent in languages other than English.
