We are looking to recruit an Assistant Psychologist on a full time substantive contract on a full time basis.

NSFT has five under-18s eating disorders teams across Norfolk, including community teams in Great Yarmouth, Norwich and King’s Lynn, an Eating Disorders Intensive Treatment Team (EDITT) and a county-wide team focusing on Avoidant and Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). We have two vacancies, one based in our Norwich team, and one split across our Great Yarmouth and ARFID teams.

We are looking to recruit someone with enthusiasm and interpersonal warmth to a role that will include both clinical work and data collection and analysis.

Main duties of the job

You will work alongside a qualified clinical psychologist and other members of the MDT and support psychological assessment and treatment, staff training, and collection and analysis of outcome measures using POD. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will be required to write reports for both clinical work and to provide updates on the routine outcome measures. There may also be opportunities to be involved in service development projects and for training to support your role.

You will receive weekly supervision from a qualified psychologist. We have close links to the clinical psychology doctoral training programme at the UEA and have supported previous assistant psychologists onto clinical training. There are a total of three Assistant Psychologists across the service line. We can accommodate some flexible working, in line with the service need, and we are a family-friendly and supportive team.
