Description

• Track and assess policy issues in the MENA region related to risks of on-platform harm across all Meta Family of Apps (FoAs)
• Flag emerging risks and trends to the Public Policy team for proactive intervention
• Triage inbound content-related requests from external partners across the region
• Coordinate with relevant internal teams to follow up and resolve cases
• Escalate blockages or unresolved issues to sub-regional heads or designated country Points of Contact (PoCs)
• Ensure proper documentation, closure, and external response for each case
• Support MENA Policy Stakeholders in resolving access issues to FoAs
• Manage account escalations from external partners, including verification and account ownership, triaging, follow-up, and case closure
• Escalate persistent issues to sub-regional heads or country PoCs
• Maintain the team calendar, including offsite dates, leave schedules, and key regional events
• Liaise with the Strategy & Operations team on budgetary matters to ensure compliance and efficiency
• Manage contracts, invoicing, and quarterly budgetary reporting for the team

Requirements

• Degree in public policy, law, politics, international relations, economics, or a related field
• 1-2 years of professional experience in policy, tech, or a similar field
• Knowledge of tech policy issues like AI, privacy, and online safety
• Understanding of social, cultural and political systems and policy institutions in MENA
• Excellent communication and persuasive skills in English and Arabic
• Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix environment
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Experience in policy, operations, or content moderation within tech or social media platforms
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to work independently and handle sensitive issues with discretion
• Familiarity with the MENA region and its policy landscape is a plus
