We are looking for a caring and experienced Care Support Worker to join our devoted team in delivering high-quality care for people with learning difficulties and behaviours that may be difficult. Main Duties – Care Support Worker UK
- Help people in the community who utilise services become more independent and included in society.
- Plan and help with community trips and events so that service users can have fun experiences outside of their homes.
- Help people with learning difficulties and behaviours that may be hard to deal with by giving them emotional and practical help.
- Help with personal care duties like washing, dressing, and helping with incontinence
- Make and serve healthy meals, and help with feeding as necessary.
- Help in getting around, making sure that service users are safe and feel good about moving around.
- Help with errands, shopping, and other household chores
- Make sure service users are safe and healthy by making support calls and answering any questions they may have.
- Keep track of and document the progress of service users, and make changes to care plans as needed.
- Get further training to help with more complicated care needs and learn how to deal with difficult behaviours.
- Encourage the growth of good habits by utilising proactive methods to deal with and calm down tough circumstances.
- Help service users communicate with others and create and keep relationships in the community.
- Work closely with family members and outside professionals to make sure that the requirements of service users are satisfied.
Requirements – UK Care Worker Jobs
What you need
- At least one year of experience caring for people with learning difficulties and difficult behaviours is preferred.
- Experience helping people in the community and creating social or recreational events
- A Level 2 or 3 certificate in Health and Social Care (or something similar) is preferred.
- You need a valid driver’s license and a way to get around in a car.
- Being able to speak and write English well
- Ability to work on weekends, at night, and throughout the day
- Willingness to go to the homes of service users and other places in the community
