An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic physiotherapist to join our medical team.
The successful candidate will join our pre-existing medical physiotherapy team, which currently looks after a wide caseload of inpatients, including NIV, medical rehabilitation and cardiac patients.
The post holder will be responsible for the specialist management of our CCU and cardiac ward, as well as assisting with the daily caseload management across the medicine team.
You should have:o Excellent communication and team working skills; completed core junior rotations including ITU, medicine / elderly care, neurology and orthopaedics; and HCPC and CSP registration
We actively encourage continuing professional development through clinical supervision and a comprehensive in-service training programme.
You will be well supported by an experienced team of physiotherapists including consultant respiratory physiotherapists and a cardiac rehabilitation team. You will have the opportunity to develop your senior skills with supervision of juniors and students and involvement in audit and service development.
Main duties of the job
The physiotherapy department is committed to providing excellent patient care across seven days. You will also contribute to the emergency respiratory on-call rota.
To provide physiotherapy to relevant patients within clinical specialty area, in a range of settings including inpatients, outpatients and patient homes.
