We are an independent DPD partner delivering drivers for DPD delivery routes.

This role is about delivering parcels for DPD in the Leeds area. At DPD, we do more for our customers. And our van-do mentality, every day. On time, every time, delivery of parcels. We’re part of your community, bringing happiness to our customers. And you’ll fit right in with your van-do attitude.

You’ll be up and running in no time. We’ll train you fully so you’ll soon be ready to hit the road, so no experience is necessary. All you need is a valid UK driver’s licence.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive the delivery vehicle safely, following all traffic rules and corporate policies.
• Deliver packages to the customer’s address quickly, properly, and safely, handling the contents.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, obtain signatures or proof of delivery where required.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery timelines and issues.
• Help with loading/unloading of parcels, which may involve heavy lifting.
• Keep the delivery truck clean and safe always.
• Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents to management immediately.

Qualifications

• Commercial driving experience or previous delivery driver experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s licence (clean driving record a plus).
• You’ll need to be above 18 for insurance reasons, no more than 6 points on your UK driving licence, and have the van-do mentality we’re looking for.
• Work experience in warehousing operations or handling heavy lifting is an advantage.
• Strong communication abilities to communicate with clients and team members professionally.
• Ability to plan routes efficiently and handle time efficiently throughout daily delivery.
• Familiarity with local roads and navigation tools is helpful.
• Ability to do loading/unloading duties and drive for extended hours. This is a perfect position for any driven individual who takes pride in giving outstanding service with safety requirements in mind, the entire shift.
