What qualities does it take to be a Care Assistant at Sandiway Lodge?

- To be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or a hand-held device
- Not only do our care team provide nursing care to our residents, but they also help to make our residents’ lives fulfilled, treat each resident with dignity & respect, and care for them all as if they were their own family.
About the role:
Some of the daily tasks that a carer at Sandiway would carry out would include:
- Helping with washing and dressing
- Assisting with feeding and mealtimes
- Finding out and knowing residents’ interests and needs.
- General housekeeping, such as tidying residents’ private bedrooms and communal areas,
- Supporting each resident’s physical and mental well-being through activities.
- Our care team provides 24-hour care, where day care shifts are worked from 8am until 8pm, and night-time shifts are from 8pm until 8am.
Typical Shift Patterns for Day or Night Contracts
- 8am until 8pm
- 8am until 2pm
- 2pm until 8pm
- 8pm until 8am
