The role will be to support the delivery of the arrhythmia service by being a face-to-face point of contact during arrhythmia clinics, ensuring that patients are seen on time and attended to outside of their consultation.
The role is also to support the planning and implementation of the cardioversion service.
We recognise that patients need support through their journey and the need for support staff if prerequisite in providing high-quality care.
Requirements
This key person will be responsible primarily for supporting the nurses in the outpatient clinic by caring for patients in the corridor, directing them to different departments in the hospital, as well as undertaking ECGs, bloods, and observations during weekend clinics, mainly a patient-facing role.
The successful candidate will also support the patients during their cardioversion procedures, providing after care and ensuring they are supported throughout their day case procedure.
The planning of virtual clinics and contacting patients around attending for planned activities will be incorporated in the role, and the ordering of routine investigations such as ECGs in advance of planned clinics will form part of the role.
