Main duties of the job
We currently have a great opportunity for a dynamic, motivated, and experienced nurse to join our Breast Cancer team. If you take pride and ownership in delivering a high standard of patient care with oncology experience, this would be a great opportunity.
The role will involve studies working as part of a proactive, multi-professional Breast Cancer team, as well as the acute Oncology team.
This post involves working closely with the Breast Clinical Nurse Specialist, Acute Oncology CNS, Chemotherapy unit, patients, relatives, as well as clinical staff, including consultants, wider CNS team, and administrative staff.

Essential
- Ability to prioritise and organise workload
- Ability to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs according to the individual
Desirable
- Computer/IT literate
- Cannulation and venepuncture skills
- Intravenous drug administration skills
- Port-a-Cath, and PICC involvement in standard setting and audit
Qualifications
Essential
- Current Registered Nurse with the NMC or working towards (e.g. IELTs, CBT, OSCE)
- Degree in Nurse related specialty or working towards
Desirable
- Mentorship or teaching qualification
Knowledge
Essential
- Demonstrates awareness of current changes in the NHS, in particular related to Nursing
- Evidence of further education, training, and ongoing learning
Desirable
- Knowledge of clinical effectiveness, research, and audit
