Table of Contents

Working hours: 20–40 hours per week.

Employment setting: In person.

Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility assistance.

Support medication routines, health monitoring and basic nursing tasks according to care plans.
-
Assist clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, hospice care and elderly care.

Prepare meals and support clients with their dietary needs.
-
Help manage challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism.
-
Transport clients to appointments and outings, maintaining appropriate records.
-
Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe environment.
-
Promote clients’ independence, dignity and wellbeing.
Requirements
-
At least one year of home-care experience — required.
-
English-language proficiency — required.
-
Must be located in or able to work in Cardiff.

Valid driving licence for client transportation duties.
-
Experience in assisted living, home care or nursing-home environments.
-
Knowledge of dementia care, elderly care and hospice support.
-
Familiarity with medication administration and first aid.
-
Good communication, listening and caregiving skills.
-
Ability to assist clients with mobility and physical transfers safely.
-
Ability to handle challenging behaviours calmly and professionally.
-
Experience in child care or elderly care is an advantage.
