The medical ultrasound qualification is a Postgraduate Diploma and will involve full-time clinical work (paid at B6 from training commencement) alongside online academic learning as part of a two-year course.

The NNUH Ultrasound Department currently consists of five general ultrasound rooms and five obstetric ultrasound rooms, and a Vascular Lab. In addition, we provide a general ultrasound service in Cromer.

The Imaging Department at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has recently undergone a significant asset replacement programme, boasting several state-of-the-art new ultrasound machines.

Continuous Professional Development is actively supported through an established appraisal system, in-service training and opportunities for further postgraduate study in line with operational needs and strategic vision.
