Responsibilities

• Accurately deliver prescription drugs in compliance with legal and pharmacy regulations.
• Help chemists prepare and distribute medications
• Keep accurate records of all prescription drugs and patient data.
• Give patients advice and assistance regarding the use of medications and any possible negative effects.
• Make sure the pharmacy’s workspace is kept tidy, orderly, and consistent with safety and health regulations.
• Control stock levels, including ordering and stock rotation, to keep medications from going bad.
• When necessary, assist with medication delivery procedures to ensure precision and security.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Experience

• It is ideal to have prior experience working as a pharmacy dispenser or in a related position.
• It is beneficial to understand pharmacy software systems and medication administration protocols.
