Important Note for Applicants(Nursing Support Worker UK)
We carefully look over all applications and choose a few based on certain criteria that differ from job to job. If you use a generic application to apply for several jobs or rely on automated AI application services like Lazy Apply or AI Apply, you might not get the information you need and your application might be missed. We suggest that you send in a customised application that directly answers the requirements specified in the Person Specification portion of the ad. This will make sure that your application is fully considered.
When you send in your application to NHS Jobs/Trac, you agree that some of your application data will be sent to the NHS Electronic Staff Record (ESR) and other secure, internal NHS Workforce systems to help with your hiring and employment within your organisation. Recruitment may also use this data to check your Professional Registration online (if applicable).
These steps are in line with Fair and Lawful processing as required by current Data Protection Laws, especially those that protect your personal or sensitive personal data. Sensitive personal data is defined as any declared physical or mental health conditions, racial or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, trade union membership, political opinion, or religious beliefs. As an organisation, we make sure that the laws that protect privacy are followed. This includes only using data for particular, clearly defined goals and only using data that is relevant and not too much. We also make sure that all personal identifiable information (PII) is accurate and secure.
If you are successfully appointed, filling out the application form gives the UHB permission to get any information about your prior NHS services, including all electronically stored sickness information, through the Inter Authority Transfer process on the national Electronic Staff Record (ESR).
If you are not a citizen of the UK or the Republic of Ireland (RoI), you need sponsorship to get either a Health and Care visa or a Skilled Worker visa to work in the UK. This is true unless you have permission to work through another means. Candidates from outside the UK and the Republic of Ireland who want to apply should go to Work in the UK and figure out how likely they are to get a Certificate of Sponsorship. If you qualify for the Health and Care visa, the application fees are cheaper, and you don’t have to pay the Immigration Health Surcharge every year.
