Overview: The organisation is seeking an experienced and qualified accountant to oversee group financial reporting, management accounts, statutory reporting, audit coordination and financial compliance. The successful candidate will manage the month-end and year-end financial processes across multiple group companies, strengthen internal controls, oversee fraud-prevention measures and provide accurate financial information to support senior management and board-level decisions.
Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts and consolidated financial reports.

Manage month-end and year-end financial reporting processes.

Monitor budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
-
Oversee statutory accounts preparation under FRS 102.
-
Lead external audits and liaise with auditors.
-
Manage VAT returns, tax compliance and regulatory reporting.

Strengthen financial controls and fraud-prevention procedures.
-
Improve finance processes and identify automation opportunities.
-
Report financial performance and control issues to senior management.
Requirements
-
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant.

Minimum four years’ post-qualification experience.
-
Experience preparing consolidated accounts under FRS 102.

Experience managing accounts for a multi-entity group.

Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.

Excellent Excel, analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder-management abilities.
-
Internal controls or fraud-prevention experience is desirable.
