Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes. Responsibilities

• Assisting residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
• Supporting the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each person’s needs
• Providing companionship and emotional support to residents or clients
• Assisting with medication administration as per care protocols
• Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
• Communicating effectively with team members, residents, and their families to ensure consistent and compassionate care
• Supporting transportation needs by driving when required, ensuring safe travel arrangements for appointments or outings
• Ensuring a clean and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
• Valid driving licence and ability to drive if required for the role
• Good command of English, both spoken and written
• Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic care records
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and colleagues
• Compassionate nature with a strong commitment to delivering quality care
• Ability to work flexibly, including shifts that may involve early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed

Job Type: Temp to perm
Contract length: 60 months

Pay: £12.21-£13.25 per hour

Expected hours: 48 per week
