Full Job Description

We need a dependable and professional Delivery Driver to work with us. The person who gets the job will be in charge of getting goods to different places quickly and safely, making sure that deliveries are on time. You need to be able to drive well, talk to people, and do physical chores like lifting heavy things for this job. The best candidate will have experience delivering packages and a clean driving record. They will also be dedicated to giving our customers great service.

Responsibilities

• Follow all traffic laws and safety rules when driving company vehicles, such as trucks and vans.
• Deliver supplies to clients and customers along set routes on schedule
• Load and unload things, which often means lifting and moving hefty packages.
• Talk to dispatchers and customers clearly about delivery times or problems.
• Keep proper records and logs of deliveries
• Check vehicles regularly before and after shifts to make sure they meet safety regulations.
• Help out in the warehouse when needed, such as sorting stock and getting ready for deliveries.

Experience

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar job in commercial driving or logistics
• A valid driver’s license that works for the type of vehicle (such as a car, van, or truck)
• Having worked in a warehouse and moved big things around is a plus.
• Strong communication abilities to work well with clients and team members
• Ability to do hard physical work, such as lifting large things and driving for lengthy periods of time
• It would be helpful to know how to get around and use local navigation tools.
