Faculty Unit: Catering Department, Estates and Facilities

Hours per week: 20 hours per week

Contract Term: Permanent/Term Time Only – 38 weeks per year

Salary: National Living Wage/National Minimum Wage, dependent on age

Calderdale College is looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to support the provision of Catering Services.
The role will be providing a professional, friendly, and efficient service to all customers at the College. Providing a customer-focused service within the refectory and shop. The role will also involve cleaning of areas operated by the Catering Department, maintaining high standards of hygiene and customer service.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic, committed, and flexible attitude towards customers and other team members, recognizing the importance and benefits of effective teamwork, while also being able to work independently.
Experience of working within a retail-style outlet in a catering establishment, as well as preparation and serving of food and non-food items. Experience in general kitchen duties, till operation, and cash handling is essential.
