Join our friendly team based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in King’s Lynn and enjoy the variety of work that comes from being part of our complex Audiology service. The wider NNUH & QEH team is made up of senior assistant audiologists, associate audiologists, audiologists, Clinical Scientists, hearing therapists and a newborn hearing screening team.
The department offers a complex adult rehabilitative service, tinnitus and hearing therapy services and paediatric assessment and (re)hab service (0-18 years). Domiciliary work is also undertaken.
Our department places an emphasis on quality and raising standards in audiology.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will be somebody who is motivated to deliver a high-quality audiology service to our patients.
The main responsibilities include:
- Autonomous practice within adult rehabilitation clinics, including hearing assessments and hearing aid fittings
- Line manage staff Band 5 and below
- Leading the QEH audiology site in the absence of the site lead
There may be a need to support more junior members of the team and provide advice and guidance to our assistant and associate audiologists.
There is a strong culture of auditing our work to ensure best practice, and we would like the successful candidate to be actively involved in this work.

- Educated to post graduate degree level or equivalent level of specialist training / experience in an audiology setting

- Significant experience delivering clinical care in an audiology service
- Experience of effective partnership working with a range of agencies and stakeholders
