About the Job

We need a Female Live-In Carer who is kind, dependable, and has expertise to help a woman who needs help with personal care and everyday life in her own home.
This job is exclusively open to women because of the personal care that is involved and to protect the client’s dignity and privacy (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9 – Genuine Occupational Requirement).

You will provide one-on-one care in this incredibly gratifying job and make a difference every day.

Main Duties

Give caring personal care, like washing, dressing, going to the restroom, and grooming.

• Help with moving about, moving and handling, and safe transfers
• Help with medicine (after getting training and following rules)
• Make meals and help with nutritional needs
• Keep your home secure, clean, and comfortable.
• Be there for them and give them emotional support.
• Resume building service
• Help with chores around the house, such as laundry, cleaning, and cooking.
• If necessary, go with the client to appointments or community events.
• Keep precise daily records and stick to the treatment plan.
• Talk to the care team and family members in a clear way.

Things you need

• You need to have worked in care before (live-in experience is a plus).
• A kind, respectful, and patient nature
• Good communication and people skills
• Ability to be responsible and work alone
• The right to work in the UK
• Willingness to have a PVG check
• Training in Moving and Handling, Medication, and Infection Control (or a willingness to finish training)
• Ability to stick to agreed-upon live-in work schedules
• Full UK driver’s license
• Experience helping people with dementia or trouble moving about
• SVQ Level 2 or a similar qualification in Health and Social Care
