About the Position:
You will be in charge of feeding the cows on the farm every day as our feeder wagon operator. Using state-of-the-art equipment, you will collaborate closely with the nutrition and herd teams to guarantee correct and timely ration delivery.
Principal Duties:
- Maintain and run feeder wagons and related machinery
- Accurately mix and supply Total Mixed Ration (TMR) in accordance with feed sheets.
- Keep an eye on feed intake and modify loading as necessary.
- Keep feed areas clean and compliant with biosecurity regulations.
- Perform basic servicing and routine maintenance on equipment.
- Maintain precise feed and maintenance records.
What We Are Seeking:
- Prior experience using a feeder wagon or other comparable agricultural equipment
- Basic mechanical knowledge and a keen eye for machine maintenance
- Knowledge of TMR feeding and dairy cow nutrition (training can be given)
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Capable of working both individually and together
- International employment advice
- Adaptable and ready to work a schedule on the weekends
Desired:
- Telehandler or forklift ticket
- Experience operating a tractor
- Large-scale dairy farm experience
