Work Wales has an exciting new Part-Time Care Manager position. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Manager to oversee the delivery of high-quality care within an assisted living setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and extensive experience in senior care. This role involves managing a care team, developing personalised care plans, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise care staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional person-centered care
  • Develop, implement, and regularly review individualised care plans tailored to residents’ needs
  • Oversee medication administration in accordance with healthcare regulations and best practices
  • Monitor residents’ health status and coordinate with healthcare professionals as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and organisational policies related to care provision
  • Provide leadership in dementia and Alzheimer’s care programmes, ensuring specialised support is delivered effectively
  • Facilitate training programmes for staff on topics such as dementia care, medication management, and health & safety procedures
  • Maintain accurate documentation of resident records and care activities
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and external healthcare providers to promote holistic wellbeing

Experience

  • Proven experience working within assisted living
  • Extensive knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer’s care techniques and best practices
  • Demonstrable management or supervisory experience within a care home or home care setting
  • Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and healthcare regulations
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in developing and managing personalised care plans for diverse resident needs
  • Familiarity with legal requirements surrounding eldercare, including safeguarding procedures
