Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or receiving home care services, ensuring their well-being, comfort, and independence. Duties

• Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
• Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity
• Follow individualised care plans to meet specific needs and preferences
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Assist with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition
• Support clients with light domestic tasks, including meal preparation and light cleaning where appropriate
• Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring safe transportation

Requirements

• Valid driving licence and ability to drive clients safely to appointments or outings
• Experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
• Good communication skills in English, with the ability to listen attentively and communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and updating care plans
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans
• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism
