This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for supporting young children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to make a real difference in their lives.

The successful candidate will work closely with the EYFS team to provide personalised support to children with SEND, ensuring they have the necessary resources and strategies to thrive in their learning environment. You will play a crucial role in helping these young learners develop their social, emotional, and communication skills, as well as supporting their cognitive and physical development.

  • Monitoring and recording children’s progress, sharing observations and insights with the EYFS team and parents
  • Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and resources, ensuring they are accessible and engaging for all learners

  • Maintaining a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and encourages all children to reach their full potential

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Relevant qualifications in early years education or special educational needs (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3, CACHE, or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children in an early years setting, preferably with exposure to supporting children with SEND
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching and learning
  • Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and a commitment to promoting inclusive education
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Our client is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive working environment, where all staff members are valued for their contributions. They offer ongoing professional development opportunities to ensure that their team stays up-to-date with the latest practices and approaches in SEND support.

The role is part-time, with a competitive salary of £17 per hour, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while making a meaningful impact on the lives of young children with SEND.

If you are a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled professional looking to join a supportive team and make a difference in the lives of young children with SEND, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity in Scarisbrick, Lancashire.
