Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Band 6 Radiographer to join the Community Radiology Department at Bicester Community Hospital. We are seeking a Radiographer with sound radiographic experience who will contribute positively and enthusiastically to the professional running and future development of the department. This is a lone-working role with support from one Radiology Assistant, and the post holder will be key in delivering our 5-day service: 9am to 2pm on Monday and Tuesday, and 9am to 2.30pm on Wednesday.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work within the Community Radiology Department at Bicester Community Hospital, playing an integral role in delivering a high standard of patient care to the local community. They will support the smooth, efficient, and professional running of the imaging service, ensuring that all patients receive timely, safe, and compassionate radiographic care.
The Bicester Radiology Department operates a five-day-a-week, walk-in X-ray service (plain film only), providing imaging for both GP and outpatient referrals. The department is committed to delivering an accessible and responsive service, supporting the wider healthcare pathway by offering high-quality diagnostic imaging in a community setting.
As part of the wider Community Radiology Service, cross-site working may occasionally be required to support the delivery of services across the network.

Essential
- BSc (Hons) degree or equivalent qualification in Radiography
- State Registered Radiographer
- Reasonable post-graduate experience
- CPD portfolio
Desirable
- Evidence of managing workloads in a busy department.
- Sound knowledge of the NHS
- Evidence of relevant personal professional development in Radiography
