Only women can drive. You must have a valid UK driving licence and your own car. This job is not covered by the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Part 1, because it is a Genuine Occupational Requirement.

Location: You must live in or be willing to move to Stevenage right away.

Sponsorship Switchers: We accept applications from people who are already in the UK and want to switch sponsors. Vinea Care does, however, have a rigid Sponsorship Pathway. Before you can get a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS), you will need to go through a three-month assessment process on your existing Right to Work status. Sponsorship is contingent on how well you do, so it’s not guaranteed from the start.

Vinea Care is a high-quality home care service. We don’t run care homes; instead, our Care Assistants go to the homes of our clients in the Hertfordshire area.

By offering specialised help like palliative care, enablement care, and help for both kids and adults, you will make a huge difference in people’s lives.

Hours of Work and Rota Requirements

Hours worked: 40 hours a week.

Availability Requirements: You need to be able to work six days a week, with one day off to meet these 40 hours.

Shift Patterns: Domiciliary care workers have to start early and finish late. You need to be able to work shifts that start between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM (22:00).

Salary and Benefits

• The hourly rate is £12.82 for regular calls and £13.64 for complex or HCC100 clients.
• Mileage: You get paid £0.45 for every mile you drive between clients.
• Travel Time: Your hourly pay rate includes both travel and waiting time.
• Equipment: The company will give you a mobile phone and all the software you need.
• Pay starts at £26,666.00 a year.

Main Duties

• Driving between customers’ homes in Hertfordshire to make sure they get care on time and every time.
• Giving adults and kids respectful personal care, like bathing, dressing, using the bathroom and grooming.
• Helping clients who are getting palliative and enablement care.
• Giving medicine safely and correctly, updating computerised MAR charts.
• Helping with moving around and safely moving and handling things (using hoists when trained).
• Cooking and doing light housework.

• You must have a valid UK driving licence and a reliable car.
• You must be able to move to Hertfordshire before your first shift (if you don’t live there now).
• Very dependable and hard-working.
• A warm, professional, and polite way of talking on the phone and in person.
• It’s very helpful if you have experience, but the right person will get full training.
