Your part in the community

You will be helping people in their own homes in Taunton and the surrounding areas. Your work will be based on the unique requirements, wants, and life stories of each person. This includes:

• Helping with personal care in a way that is courteous and dignified
• Helping with daily tasks like getting dressed, washing, and making meals
• Being there for someone and giving them emotional support
• Helping folks get to their community when they can
• Promoting independence instead of taking over
• Watching for changes in health and reporting worries
• Work abroad resources
• Following care plans, but still being flexible with each person
• You aren’t there to hurry in and out.
• You are there to make each visit worthwhile.
