Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to support service users under the care of the West Neighbourhood Mental Health Team (previously known as the Assessment and Treatment Services) in Brighton and Hove as a Crisis Support, Time and Recovery Worker. The role has a specific remit to provide preventive work with service users under the NMHT to avoid crisis or admission and support transition back from the crisis team to the NMHT.
Main duties of the job
You will have experience of working in the community with people with mental health needs and co-existing difficulties. You will work autonomously but alongside the NMHT multi-disciplinary team to offer short-term flexible support as part of the service users’ crisis support plan and help them link in with other community crisis support offers where relevant. You will see people face-to-face in their homes, in community settings, or at the team base, as well as offering telephone and video support.
You will join a friendly and supportive team based at Mill View hospital and form close working relationships with the Crisis Team based at Mill View.

- NVQ 3 or equivalent, combined with a commitment to undertake continuing personal development
EXPERIENCE

- Experience of working with people with mental health problems, ideally in the community
