About Boston House:
Boston House provides slow stream Neuro Rehabilitation for 17 adults who have complex needs following a brain injury. You will work in conjunction with a Neuro-Therapy Team, assisting the people we support with their ongoing rehabilitation goals
As a Support and Therapy Assistant, you will be part of a team that excels in being an active and positive influence, encouraging the people we support to work towards a brighter future. Duties will include:
- Promoting independence with the people we support and encouraging them to engage in their rehabilitation journey following their Brain Injury.
- Supporting our people to manage their health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments, hospital admissions, and administering medication when fully trained.
- Empowering the people we support to manage budgets, pay bills, menu planning, shopping, and support with domestic tasks, including cleaning & cooking, in line with their therapy goals set by the therapy team.
- Assisting with personal care.
- Supporting to follow tailored programmes of therapies set by our Physiotherapist, Speech and Language Therapist, and Occupational Therapist.
